The Irish Concrete Society is delighted to announce that Mr Mark Coatsworth of John Paul Construction was elected as our new chair at the Society’s AGM on the 4th of September 2025.

Mark Coatsworth is the Associate Director for Preconstruction & Technology in John Paul Construction. He has over 30-years of experience in the industry in both the UK and Ireland. He has successfully led a wide array of projects in that time and has a keen understanding of best practice in managing large concrete frame projects in constrained city centre sites. In the past five years, Mark has led the Company’s embrace of innovation and technology, and is currently running a comprehensive business transformation programme.

Mark also served on our council from 2016 to 2019.
