The Irish Concrete Society and the Institution of Engineers of Ireland have issued new guidance for specifiers in Ireland on minimising the risk of damaging alkali-silica reaction in concrete. The document 'Alkali-Silica Reaction in Concrete: General Recommendations and Guidance in the Specification of Building and Civil Engineering Works' (ISBN 1-898-012-58-X) replaces the 1991 version of the document, which is hereby withdrawn.
